Wooden
Ocarinas by Hyunil Ko

Ocarinas are, and always will be, in a world all of their own in the
music category. They come in many different shapes, sizes, colors, and different materials as well as keys from high to low. I think the most popular ocarina (or at least the most well-known) would be the H. Fiehn from Austria which were created around the late 1800s and some bore a Sydney Exhibition stamping (two overlapping circles) with the ocarina being in a 'submarine' shape. Peruvians also make ocarinas but those are mostly 4-holed whereas the Fiehn had 10 total holes (including two thumb holes) and 'WoodSound's ocarinas feature a total of 12 (to 13) holes! Presented in a beautiful wooden box (with tree design over the exterior) and with a black plush interior, WoodSound's wooden ocarinas are in their own seemingly-new category where ocarinas can be both beautiful pieces of art AND beautiful-sounding musical instruments! Ranging in different types and combinations of wood, WoodSounds' ocarinas are second to none and are great as gifts for an ocarina-lover or even great as an upgrade from a clay ocarina as the wood allows more tonal variations with an almost haunting-like sound!
